I believe Jesus Christ was the son of God. I don't have a problem with other religions, I just don't subscribe to them. I have issues with Catholism, it was supposed to be Christ Church- not Peter's, by having the Pope as leader of the instittution it is a human institution not a spiritual one. Every other Protestant Religion stems from Calvinism and has a doctrine of predestination. They don't make it known but that is what it is. Lutheran's believe in a personal relationship between you and God based on Scripture.

21. Abortion. Are you, Pro-Choice or Anti-Choice? Mixed feelings, but I lean towards anti-choice. Depending on the situation, like, if the subject's health is in danger due to the pregnancy, it is in her best interest to terminate it whether she wants it or not. In case of rape, or anything similar, I do believe in leaving it up to her. In any other case, I'd have to say no. It's enough that people have the choice to engage in sexual activity. In my opinion, the two go hand in hand. Choosing to be sexually active as an educated woman, you are also agreeing to the smallprint that doesn't guarantee no pregnancy whether you are using contraceptives and condoms or not. If you're choosing to be sexually active, you are also agreeing that there are chances that you WILL get pregnant. Not ready to take care of a baby? Don't spread your legs.
22. Talk about your position on homosexuality. There is talk of a study proving that there is, in fact, a gay "gene", supporting the argument that homosexuality is not always a choice. While some people do choose to live a homosexual lifestyle, whether it be from bad experiences in heterogeneous relationships or any other reason that people could have, there are people who do not choose to be homosexual and therefore, none of the LGBT community should not be condemned because of their lifestyle. Homosexuality also does not pose a threat to society, as opposed to what some people believe. A recent example of this could be the Proposition 8 ordeal in California - the ban on gay marriage (prop 8 was approved with 52.some% of the total votes, which is absolutely bogus in my opinion =w=;...). There were advertisements on television that supported the movement stating that, should gay marriage be legalized, they would have to teach kids about it in school and that would corrupt them. First of all, when was marriage ever taught in school? Point is, people are afraid of what is different. It is in the human nature to fear what is unknown or different. Homosexuality has come a long way in the past decade even, and it is continuously becoming less and less taboo. Hopefully, at one point in the future, it won't even be considered "different".

Okay, okay, really? I live with my mom and stepdad, and my siblings. My mom had me at 18, and being young-- made the usual mistakes. She got pregnant again at 21, and since she obviously didn't marry my father (who is bipolar and lives off of the state, the poor dear. His mum died when he was 16 and he just never had much of a chance. He used to wait outside of my mom's house when she was 10 behind the tree so they could walk to school together) -- so, anyway, my mum married my stepdad. (: They popped out 2 more kids, but only got it on when my mum was a bit drunk-- haha- so, anyway, they tried to divorce, but my mom was still young and got sort of trapped in a relationship with a physically/mentally abusive dude!

It was cool, really. :0 She had my second brother in 1998, he died when he was 7 months old (December) and my mom was already early in pregnancy with my youngest sister, Eve. However, sometimes it takes one terrible thing to make it all better, and my mom pulled her Shoes together for all of us and now we all live together! Definitely pro-life, and as a psychology major, I can tell you that is a VERY badly worded question. I'm not against choice! Just against the purposeful death of developing children. At less then two weeks, they are developing hundreds of neural synapses (which is how we think, feel, and move) every minute. They have fingernails, and will suck their thumbs, a sign of intelligence- the use of a means (sucking) for a different end (comfort, instead of sustenance).

I'm not sure. Although the Bible says any man who lies with a man as if with a woman should be killed, the God of today built a bridge, and no longer requires such steep immediate punishment to protect the holiness of His people. I don't know if its in-born, or a choice, or a personality abnormality, or what. I have several friends who are homosexuals- I treat and love them like I would anyone else. That, at least, I know to do.

Yes, I suppose you could call it a religion. I follow Christ, though falteringly at most times. I always believe- sometimes I don't even know why, but I believe. Nothing else makes sense, but the Bible, when studied, all fits together like a puzzle- there is logic in it, it makes sense.

They are judged- those whose names are written in the Lamb's Book of Life will be admitted into heaven, and those whose names are not will go to hell. On Judgement Day, the final separation will be made, the sheep from the lambs, and a new heaven and new earth and new Jerusalem will be created for the believers in the Way, who will dwell for eternity with the Lord.

Nay. Pornography causes too many problems, is degrading and wrong. Recently two nine year olds began having sex in their school classroom because their teacher had left the room for ten minutes- they'd seen their parents' porno. It causes unrealistic expectations, and can lead to much disappointment when it comes to the real thing. Why torture yourself?

I understand that some think its the only way to survive, and I don't condemn them for it. But if there's a better way to go, another chance, take it! To sell your body, for money, drugs, security... its awful. Anyone interested in this topic should read Francine River's Redeeming Love, a book about a 19-year old prostitute called Angel. It's a beautiful story, and illustrates a different kind of love.

Yes, but not so much with financial donations, simply because I don't get much oppurtunity. If I hear about a charity, I'll send them some money, but I mostly volunteer, working with soup kitchens, homeless shelters, etc. My youth group recently began sponsoring a young boy in Thailand with Compassion ministries, providing him and his family with food, clean water, and educational opportunities.

To an extent. Some people deserve to die for their crimes, and the Bible says not to murder, not not to kill. At the same time, I would want guilt to be assured and a risk assessment made before the sentence is carried out- if the person isn't guilty or isn't a risk, why exterminate him?

I'm a republican- as should be obvious from my previous answers. ^^ I may not always agree with the party, but they are in line with most of my values and beliefs. I could never vote for a pro-abortion candidate.
