He was originally done in different colours, but they were a little harsh on the eyes so I redid it. That one only has nine frames, though. I did one with 115 frames(it's completely different) and it took forever.

So good! so good!! I am so jealous! I use to make those dolls thing all the time! I use to be actually quite good at it, and then I havent done it in a coupl years and TOTALLY fail now

I've never done one of those dolls. I'm always afraid I'll get a virus from accessing the template. I've seen some really pretty ones, but on DA you aren't actually allowed to post them anywhere accept your scraps - since it's not entirely your art - or you can get reported and possibly banned. I'm a little too lazy to make something probably no one is going to see

Yeah it was a pain in the ass to make on my laptop but I dont have a mouse so I am pretty pissy about that! And I blame that for my failure at dolls!!

If you're willing to spend a little(less than $100) you can get a good tablet. I suggest Wacom Bamboo(I got the Bamboo Fun but it was more pricey and I don't even use the software it came with so I wish I'd gone with just the Bamboo). It's dependable, a good size, affordable, and Wacom is a recognized name for quality tablets.

Some people have a little trouble adjusting to using a tablet, but I don't really understand why. Maybe those are just the ones who've never used a mouse or touch pad to draw. Anyway, it's basically the same as drawing with a mouse, but the pen is easier to hold and allows you to vary the darkness of your lines depending on how hard you press down.

One thing, though: Wacom tablets are not compatible with the free art program GIMP. That's what I use and I think I may have corrupted the program by forcing them to work together. (On a side-note, we need a sweatdrop smiley for moments like these)

I was surprised at how cheap they are as well. I had more trouble getting mine because of where I live(in a town so small and new, GPS systems show my house as being in the middle of a field). I had to go into Calgary and since I was too cheap to get a car with the high cost of gas I had to wait until someone else was going into the city. But it was worth it
